Mogadishu(Sunatimes) Al-shabab militants are reported to be in difficult situation. Officials of the Shabab group in Kismayo have called on the local citizens to participate in the ongoing fight in Mogadishu.

Abdikadir Abdalla, one of Shabab officials in Kismayo said the group needs more civilians to join the fight.

Abdikadir also blamed youths in Kismayo and other areas controlled by Al-shabab for refusing to take part in the clashes. The Shabab official made the remarks on Saturday while addressing residents.

Al-shabab insurgents lost ground to the Somali Transitional Federal Government in recent fighting that occurred in different parts of the country.

The group is also facing some financial problems as one of their officials in Kismayo, Hasan Yakub Ali previously stated. Yakub accused the leadership of the group for being corrupt.
