Galgadud (Sunatimes) Pro-government militia of Ahlusuna National Salvation forces has attacked Al-shabab insurgents in the Galgadud region.

Shabab fighters and Ahlusuna (ANSF)  militias clashed on Thursday morning in God Durwa village which is 30KM to the east of Dusamareb district, capital of the Galgadud region.

Ahlusuna ANSF claimed that they have attacked Al-shabab’s positions in God-Durwa village. The group threatened that it will wipe out all Shabab fighters from the Galgadud region.

Although there are no accurate reports on the loss suffered by the fighting groups, sources confirmed to Bar-kulan that the residents of God Gurwa have already fled the area.

Most of the areas where Al-shabab and Ahlu-suna are fighting are strongholds of Shabab insurgents. The Shababs have been controlling the areas for quite some time.
