Mogadishu (Sunatimes) An association of women groups in Mogadishu has donated medical supplies to Madina and Banadir hospitals of Mogadishu city on Tuesday.
The women donated the aid to mark the 8th March International Women Day.
Seventeen women groups joined together to help mobilize the funds to buy the medical supplies that were delivered to the hospitals. The association of women was able to raise the money through contributions from their members.
Rukia Ali Abdile, Aisha Warsame and Ubah Tahlil presented the aid to the hospitals on behalf of their associations.
Madina and Banadir hospitals are some of the health facilities where most of the civilians injured in the ongoing fighting in Mogadishu are treated.
