Cadale (Sunatimes) Al-shabab militants in Adan Yabal district are preparing several local elders in the district to join their militia’s fight against the Transitional Federal government.

Shabab insurgents today assembled at the center of Adan Yabal district the elders who they want to fight for them. Most of them are very old.

Although some of the elders complained to Al-shabab that they can not join the fight, it is reported that the militants refused to hear their plea.

The youths in the district are also reported to be fleeing after realizing that Al-shabab militants will force them to join their militia. Most of them went to the far rural areas of the region.

Al-shabab militants have been forcefully recruiting civilians to join their militia since they were defeated by government and Africa Union forces in the past few weeks.
