Mogadishu (Sunatimes) It is reported that Al-shabab militants in the Bay and Bakol regions are leaving more towns which their militias previously controlled.
The militants left Rabdure, Wajid and Berdale districts of the Bay, Bakol regions of Somalia.
The militants did not give any reason for deserting the towns but reports say they are fleeing government forces supported by Ethiopia and and pro-government militia of Ahlu-Suna Waljama group, which are approaching those towns.
The militants also left several villages and other districts in the Gedo region with out fighting.
A resident of Wajid, Ali Abdirahman told bar-kulan that militants who left Rabdure, Wajid and Berdale districts headed towards Baydabo district, the capital of the Bay region.
Residents have started fleeing and tension is high in some areas
