Mogadishu (Sunatimes) President Sherif Sheikh Ahmed of the Somali Transitional Federal Government has accepted the recognition letters of the newly appointed Indian ambassador in Mogadishu.
Ambassador Sibabrata Tripathia will start his diplomatic duties effectively. Sibabrata Tripathia was formerly the ambassador of India in Kenya, Uganda and Finland.
President Sharif wished ambassador Tripathia well as he starts his duties.
The president was very happy with the resumption of the diplomatic relationship between Somalia and India.
Several other countries among them Djibouti and Ethiopia, have reopened their diplomatic missions in Mogadishu.
