Mogadishu(Sunatimes) Muktar Robow Abu Mansur, one of the top leaders of Al-shabab militants has said that his group’s fighters do not have any regard for human rights in their fight against government troops and forces allied to it.
Robow said his group does not need to respect human rights as it doesn’t recognize them.
The Shabab official said talks can not resolve the on going violence in Somalia. He said his group had the right to fight their enemy.
Abu Mansur Robow has also accused local right groups for taking sides in the ongoing fight. He said the groups seem to be supporting the Transitional Federal Government.
Robow made the remarks while addressing residents of Barwko village between Beled Hawo and Garbaharey districts of the Gedo region.
Gedo region is one of the places where Al-shabab insurgents are fighting forces allied to the TFG in the country.
