Sheik Bashir Ahmed Salad who is the chairman of the agency of Somali Religious men, speaking to Radio Kulmiye said that Harakatu Shabab is undertaking the responsibility of the problems in the country.

Sheik Bashir talked about the recent wars between Harakatu Shabab and government troops supported by AMISOM in Mogadishu, which were taking place in capital in the past days.

Sheik Bashir also said the damages of the civilians and the problems in the country are undertaken its responsibility by Shabab.

“If we are the agency of Somali religious men, we should care the civilians, we have to construe what ever relates to the religion” Sheik Bashir said.

The chairman added that they called for Shabab to give up the fighting during the war against Ethiopian troops those invaded in the country but he told that Shabab refused to stop the fighting as the Ethiopian forces’ withdrawal came.

On other hand, Sheik Bashir said that they are awfully sorry the fighting which renewed in the city, which left many lives of innocent civilians those were in anarchy over 20 years.

The talk of Sheik Bashir comes at time as heavy clashes between Harakatu Shabab Mujahidin, the anti-government constituent and Somali government-backed by the African peace keeping troops (AMISOM) took place in the war-ravaged city of Somalia, Mogadishu in the past days.
