The refugees are already facing many challenges after some services were withdrawn by the NGOS

SAN'A (SUNATIMES) Some of the humanitarian organizations that were operating at Al-kharas refugee in Camp in Yemen are reported to have left the area.

The organizations left the camp which serves mainly Somali refugees due to security risks following anti-government demonstrations that are going on in Yemen.  Al-kharas refugee camp is home to over sixteen thousand Somali refugees and others from the Horn of Africa region.

The refugees are already facing many challenges after some services were withdrawn by the NGOS. Several patients who are in need of treatment are in the clinic serving Al-kharas camp. The doctors have left the camp.

One of the refugees told radio Bar-kulan that they have not received any service for more than a week.

Most of the refugees  depend on relief supplies offered in the camp. They receive education, health and other social services in Al-kharas camp.

There are anti-government demonstrations going on al over Yemen. The protesters are calling for the resignation of President Ali Abdullah Saleh who has been in power for more than thirty years. The demonstrations have increased tension in some areas and the security situation is deteriorating.
