Mombasa (Sunatimes) 84 Somali migrants who were released from a Mombassa police station will be taken to Dadab refugee camp, in northern Kenya.
The immigrants were released on Thursday morning after being in custody for more than twenty days. They were arrested for being illegally in Kenya.
The Somali ambassador to Kenya, Mohamed Nor, confirmed to radio Bar-kulan the release of the Somali nationals. He said most of the young men and women were under the age of 20 years.
Ambassador Nur, also said the youths were coned by a human trafficker who transported them from Somalia with a promise to help them travel to Europe to find a better life.
The ambassador asked the Kenyan government to bring to justice those human traffickers who are also abuse some of the immigrants they illegally transport from one destination to another.
