The family members said that SSP Srinagar, before booking Omar assured them
that their ward will be released. However, about a week ago, they were
informed by police early in the morning that their ward is being sent Jammu

at home during the Sopore march,” the family claimed.

However, the family contests the police charges and said that Omar had never
been a part of protest demonstration. “He is completely innocent and has no
criminal record,” the family said adding the he used to work with his father
at shop. The family further trader’s federation people also gave in writing
to police that Omar is not involved.

“Our chief minister said that if respected citizen guarantees that any boy
would not pelt stones or was not involved in pelting, he will be released,”
the family said and added that police implicated their son despite the fact
that they gave police in writing that he is not a stone thrower.  “We demand
justice,” the family said.

According district magistrate Srinagar, vide his order number
