TURKEY-SOMALIA

Edirne/Ankara (Sunatimes)- Turkish security teams apprehended 33 migrants in the northwestern province of Edirne.

The migrants from Palestine and Myanmar were trying to cross the border between Turkey and Greece illegally.

They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.

Turkish security teams also apprehended 43 migrants in different parts of the country.

Turkish military said in a statement posted on its web site that the migrants from Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Somalia, Afghanistan, Palestine and Myanmar were detained during controls in eastern and southern parts of Turkey.

They will be deported once the legal proceedings are completed.
