MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)-The United States has once again warned its citizens from travelling to Burundi because for possible attack by Al-Shabab terrorists in the country.

Burundi and Uganda have recently been the subject of threats by the unpopular Somali militants over participating Somalia’s peacekeeping mission which crushed millitants’ attempts to seize Mogadishu.

 "In this month there is possibility that Alshabaab can target vital installations in Burundian capital, Bujumbura" US embassy spokesman said, adding that they have got reliable information that Alshabaab was planning to attack main Burundian cities.

The US has also warned its citizens currently in Burundi to be vigilant during February.

Burundian government has said that it’s aware of Alshabaab plans of attacks, and would take it serious.
