"Ahmad Silanyo has been a good friend of mine for a long time and it would like to ask him to work towards the unity of the whole of Somalia and not the succession," he said.
He says southern Somalia region have been torn apart by conflict in the country and was praising the Somaliland administration for the way they managed to ensure security in regions under its control.
Nevertheless, he called upon Somaliland to assist in attainment of peace and security in southern Somalia regions.
"This is not the time that Somalia should be disintegrating into regions, its the time to get back other Somali regions and all efforts should be geared towards that particular goal instead of pursuing the session bid," Mowlid reiterated.
Somaliland, a northeastern enclave is yet to get international recognition, its leaders have however, vowed not to reunite with the rest of Somalia saying that southern Somalia regions attained their own independence four days before they did.
