Baidio (Sunatimes) A young man who was accused of highway robbery by Al-shabab militias in Baidao, the capital of Bay region was today amputated.
Nur Ahmed who was declared guilty of theft and highway robbery charges by the militias had his right hand and the left leg chopped off. Al-shabab militias also accused the 20 year old for being a member of an illegal armed robbery gang.
However, the militias of the insurgent group could not produce any evidence to support their allegation against the young man.
Nur is the third person to be amputated by Al-shabab militants in Baidao. The group which claims to be implementing the Islamic Sharia usually subjects some of its victims to the laws.
