Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) Chairman Mr Dahir Alasow meet with Somali Pairlament Speaker Shariif Hassan Sheikh Adan in Nairobi.

The two discussed among the other thinks such issue's as Freedom of the Press.

ASOJ Chairman emamphasized the need to have framework and machanism which allow both defenders freedom of the press and Journalists in Somalia to operate with out fear.

On his side Speaker of the pairlament Shariif Hassan acknowledged the hardship which Journalists work and the threat they face on a daily basis . He promised that both pairlament and government of Somalia will do their best to safe gaurd freedom of the press and Media practicioners at this very difficult moment of time.

This crucial meeting came at time Violations against Journalists is escalating .
