MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)- Somalia’s president Sharif Sheik Ahmed and his men known as (Ala-Sheekh)  in the parliament are battling for motion against the house speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden, officials said on Tuesday.

Aides at the presidential headquarter told Suntimes in condition of anonymity that there has been a plan to put forward a motion in the parliament against the current speaker who is in political conflict with the president.

Reports say the premier Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo is involving in the anti-speaker plot.

The president is reported to fund million dollars to pick up Sharif Hassan out of his position as parliament speaker.

President’s Ala-Sheekh men in the parliament are now persuading the other lawmakers to stand against the speaker and vote off him.

The two Sharifs - the president and the house speaker – were close friends before the new prime minister came into office.  Some reports suggest that the men clashed over the premier nomination.
