Jubba(Sunatimes) Reports from Hagar district in the Lower Juba region indicate that a server draught has hit the district and its environs.
The draught has affected different locations in Hagar district causing the death of both human and livestock. Hundreds of cattle and goats are reported to have died as a result of the server draught that hit the area.
A local elder, Husein Bule Elmi told radio Bar-kulan the draught was the worst ever to hit Hagar district. He said the situation was devastating and the residents need a humanitarian relief.
Rahole and Qardale locations in Hagar district are the worst areas hit by the draught in Hagr district, according to elder Hussein Bulle. The elder urged local businessmen in the Lower Juba region to help those hit by the draught.
Although Al-shabab militias control the Lower Juba region do not offer any service to the residents and did not provide any relief to those affected by the draught.
