The new Somali cabinet met on Sunday 28th of November 2010

The new Somali cabinet met on Sunday 28th of November 2010 for the first time a day after it was approved by the parliament of the Transitional Federal Government, according to a press statement from the office of the TFG spokesman.

 

The two main agenda of the meeting that was chaired by the Prime Minister Hon. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo were general orientation, familiarization and preparing to take over their new offices.

 

The Prime Minister also reminded the ministers, their assistants and state ministers about the heavy task ahead of them. He urged them to make more efforts to fulfill the agendas of the national accord and the general reconciliation and reconstruction.

Elsewhere, the Somali premier today hosted in his office a UN delegation led by Bruno Mpndo-Epo who is the head of The United Nation’s Political Office for Somalia.  The meeting between PM Farmajoe and the UN delegation mainly focused on how to improve security in the country and the two sides discussed on how to train more police and security officers of the TFG.

 

The premier presented to the delegation the TFG’s road map during its remaining transition period.

 

The delegation later met with the new cabinet where they have discussed on the TFG’s way forward in improving security, economic and social development of the country.
