    Puntland leader forgives sentenced radio director

For his excellence, as he, the President Abdirahman Sheikh Mohamed Farole was speaking at the opening workshop ceremony on Sunday in the garawe city,

Bosaso (Sunatimes) The Somali journalists Association Network (SOJANET) is cheerful welcomed the announcement on the forgiveness which was given to journalist Abdifitah Jama Mirre by Putland president Abdirahman Mohamed Farole.

Mr. Abdifitah the director of local FM radio of Horsed Media in Bosaso town in Puntland has been sentenced to 6 yrs of jail and $500 dollar by Puntland high court for charges relating an interview with Sheik Mohamed Sa’id Atam, the leader of the radical militias fighting against Puntland government.

"SOJANET has no much to write about this perfectly, but positively expects confirmation from puntland administration for releasing Journalist Abdifitah Jama Mirre from the jail without delay", the organization said.

For his excellence, as he, the President Abdirahman Sheikh Mohamed Farole was speaking at the opening workshop ceremony on Sunday in the garawe city,

the president told that he has already signed out about the official letter which is intended to release the journalist Abdifitah Jama Mirre in the coming days.

Attending workshop which can be take in three days and organized by Puntland Development Research Center (PDRC), were puntland governments’ officials and some local journalists including 12 directors, 7 editors, 7 journalists and 3 other correspondents, all From the radio stations in puntland regions,

The aim of the workshop should be the cooperation that between the government and the local media houses, according to the chairman of the Media Association of Puntland (MAP) Feysal Jama.
