Mogadishu (Sunatimes) A workshop initiated by the Somali university graduates in Yemen was last night held in Sana’a. The main agenda was about how the Arab and Muslim countries would intervene in Somalia.
The initiators of the workshop explained the important role Somalia played in the Arab League before Siayad Bare’s government collapsed in 1991.
A Somali lawyer based in Yemen Abdriahman Baana who also attended the workshop told Bar-kulan that it was time the Arab world took responsibility and help Somalia to achieve peace and stability.
However, Mr. Baana regretted that the Arab and Muslim countries have no any significant influence in Somalia and have been reluctant to intervene.
The Somali graduates who initiated the workshop made presentations on the history of Somalia and its significance to the Arab League. Somalia is one of the countries that initiated the establishment of the union of Muslim countries
