Kampala(Sunatimes) More than 20 Somali Journalists in the Kampala, Uganda have for the first time announced the launch of the Somali Journalists Association Network in which, the journalists say” it will pave the way to the unity among all other Somali colleagues around the world”.  “It is not what divides us, but what we have in common” said the secretary general of the Somali Journalists Association Network Mohamed Mohamud Odowa.

The priority of the Somali Journalists Association Network (SOJANET) is to focus on the needy of the Somali journalists and to raise understanding with international community about the dangers Somali journalists are facing”. “Because it is clear that the world knows very little about the dangers that journalists face on a daily basis in Somalia and those who sought refuge in countries like Uganda and Kenya”, said the chairman of the Somali Journalists Association Network Omar Nur Gutale.
