MOGADISHU (Sunatimes) Somalia’s central Adado town which was under the control the local self-designated authority has on Friday fallen into the hands of Ahlusuna National Salvation forces, the Islamic Sufi group, witnesses told Sunatimes - as the group announced last month that it had backed out from the agreement reached with the weak Somali government.

The government accused the Ahlu-Suna group of spreading its power in central Somalia.

The seizure of Adado came after hours of heavy fighting between Ahlusuna forces and fighters loyal to Hebin and Heeb regional administration.

According to the locals, five people including civilians have been confirmed dead and dozen more wounded in the battle.

The spokesman for Ahlusuna  National Salvation Forces (ANSF) Sheikh Abdulahi Sheikh Abdirahman told the media that the town is now under their control.

Sheikh Abdirahman argued that they capture the town of Adado for the residents’demand as the local forces disappeared into unknown destination.

But the ruler of Hebin and Heeb administration, Mohammed Aden Tici said Adado has been taken over by what he called ‘a group wanting to create disability in the region’

ANSF, which has been unpleasant about how the current Somalia’s government is battling the rebel Islamic radical groups, had in March 2010 signed a power sharing accord with the government.
