MOGADISHU (Keydmedia.net)- The heavy fighting between the transitional federal government backed by the African union peacekeeping forces intensified the latest three days in the capital Mogadishu, killing 70 people and wounding twice the dead number, reports said.
Today was its bitter and worst for the huge battle between the
warring parts in the capital, Mogadishu and the war comes as the African
union peacekeeping forces advanced to the frontlines of the warring
zone and settled the positions where Islamist militias were early before
like Ex- national army hospital, as the African forces captured last
Saturday.
At least 30 people are reported to have been killed and
more than 50 others injured only today’s fighting between the Islamist
militias Of Al-shabab and Hisbul-Islam together and the T.F.G forces
backed by the African union peacekeeping forces and almost the dead and
injuries were among the warring groups.
The major of the
confrontations took place in Hodan district of Benadir region and T.F.G
police spokesman named Abdullahi Barise told that Hodan police station,
The African village and Russian camp are all government control as he
was speaking to the journalists in the capital Mogadishu.
Mohamed
Osman Aruus, spokesman for Islamist of Hisbul Islam claimed victory
over the current clashes between them ‘Islamist groups’ and government
together with AMISOM adding that they had burned armed vehicles from the
African union peacekeeping forces.
The warring parts were using
heavy weapons that could be heard in many areas in Mogadishu and
fighting affected the largest market of Bakare where shelling and stray
bullets were falling on it since the market was empty and no more
business activities were going as journalist who walked into the market
told Keydmedia.net that there were no people seen in the market and no
good traffic available there.
Bakara market turned into bloodshed
areas as shells from AMISOM bases daily fall into the market killing
and injuring people involved in business or coming for shopping and it
became repeated acts against humanity and warring parts decline
accusations they massacre innocent civilians in that market while the
government say it’s strong-hold of Islamist militias of Al-shabab and
Hisbul-Islam who control south and central Somalia.
Similarly
yesterday and before yesterday were all the same, the sides were
fighting as people who remained in some villages were either fled from
those zones or marooned and could not know where to face next.
Stray
bullets killed at least four people and wounded other number in Wadajir
and Waberi districts including pregnant women as eyewitness confirmed
to the media.
The fighting comes as Somali president Sharif Sh.
Ahmed is having counseling about how he would name a new prime minister
after the former primer Omar A/Rashid Ali Sharma’arke resigned last
month and sources close to president Sharif said that he flew to
Nairobi, Kenya, the neighboring country where he got an invitation.
The
T.F.G receives criticism from the international community that it
should restore peace and stability try to take control whole the country
and build high quality army and improve activities against Islamist
militias.
The transitional federal government only controls a few
parts in the south of capital and the current heavy clashes could be
predicted whether it would be able to gain upper hand or on although it
reached a kilometer forward yet.
