Mogadishu (Sunatimes) at least four people have been confirmed dead after the Transitional Federal Government Forces supported by the African Union peacekeepers clashed with Al-shabab militias in the capital.

The fighting has started when Al-shabab militias shelled the Golaha Shaabka parliament buildings with grenades and mortar attacks.

A parliamentary meeting was going on during that time. TFG and AMISOM forces have responded and later on the fighting spread towards the Bakara market.

A mortar attack that hit the vegetable section of the Bakara market is reported to have killed three people while another one that hit a bus terminus killed one person.

Civilians living in Mogadishu are the most affected by the ongoing violence in Mogadishu who are not involved in the fighting.
