The Somali Journalist Rights Agency (SOJRA) would like to endorse and welcome the formation of FESOJ.

Journalists in the Somali capital have for the first time announced the launch of the Federation of Somali journalists that brings together all the existing media groups in and an outside the country as well as journalists individually.

The Somalia Press Freedom Founder honorable Mr. Daud Abdi Daud Dhimbil expressed his joy today while he was in his home in Nairobi.

"This is really dream what joyfulness in my heart today and I also hope that we are now on the way to take the lead without feeling fear and reprisal"

However, the Somali Journalist Rights Association (SOJRA) calls the international community to support the new federation of Somali journalists which is the soil and the single organization representing Somali journalists currently.

"One is clear; the Somalia press freedom predators along with the well-known external spoilers, who have contributed to Omar Faruk Osman of NUSOJ, will not appreciate this progress or possibly will create catastrophes" Mr. Daud added

 

Finally, SOJRA is kindly confirming that it is a full member and happy. Therefore, the Somali Journalist Rights Association (SOJRA) is also going to release more then three statements regarding the foreign abuses against Somali journalist as back-up memorial over the oncoming weeks.
