Somalia news Kismayo (Sunatimes) More than forty youths ran away from an Al-shabab militia training camp in Kismayo. The youths were forcefully being trained in a camp at Luglow division in the larger Kismayo district.

Abdirisak Mohamed Hasan, was among the trainees of Al-shabab but who managed to escape, told radio Bar-kulan that the youths who were in the training camp were in a devastating situation.

Abdirisak said that as soon as they entered the camp, the Shabab militias put many restrictions on them and even refused them communication with their families. They later decided to run away from the camp, said Abdirisak.

Al-shabab militias in Kismayo are now reported to be carrying out an operation in different parts of Kismayo searching for the youths who left the militia training camp.

Parents who were earlier happy about the return of the youths from the training camp are now worried as Shabab militias are going door-to-door in search of their “would be” militias.
