More than three hundred and five MPs were present today during the President’s speech in the house. The President downplayed the rift between his office and that of the Prime Minister.
The President also announced in parliament that his administration will soon embark on an operation to improve the security situation in the capital.
Elsewhere, MPs were today briefed about the vote of non confidence against the Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Sharma’arke. Similarly, a letter from Sharma’arke’s office also went around the house explaining that the motion was brought forward in bad faith.
Abdiweli Sheikh Mudey, who is the assistant Speaker of the House, dissolved the session and announced that parliament will convene its next sitting tomorrow where they will further debate the motion.
