Nairobi (Sunatimes) One of Somali’s most famous musicians, Hassan Adan Samatar, arrived in Nairobi last night. Samatar was welcomed by hundreds of supporters, friends and Somali leaders at Nairobi’s Jommo Kenyatta International Airport.

A group of promoters who organized the arrival of the musician received him in style as a number of youths, who were dressed in t-shirts with the name and trade mark printed on them, lined up along the International Arrivals Hall at the airport.

 

He was later taken to a hotel in the city where he will stay during his visit.

 

Samatar has produced many Somali songs and some in his MaiMai native language. His songs are comprised of themes of patriotism, peace and love. He is expected to hold a live performance in Nairobi on the18th of this month.

 

Somalis living in Kenya have been waiting for this concert for a long time. According to his promoters, a large number of his fans will turn up for the event.
