Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Associated Somali Journalists (ASOJ) has called on the Somalia's information minister Abdirahman Yarisow to back out his injustice and clan-based nomination for Abdirahim Isse Adow as the director of Radio Mogadishu. Adow was among the individuals that masterminded the killings of number of Somali and foreign journalists.

"ASOJ sees the expel of the former Radio Mogadishu director Hussein Mohamed Ahmed (Qoryoley) from work as unwanted as his son was killed by Al-Shabaab militias in Markka, southern Somalia because of his journalistic task with the government. What we know that the newly appointed director had involved in gross violations against both local and international reporters." Dahir Abdulle Alasow, chairman of ASOJ said.

Mr. Alasow said Adow threatened to kill journalists working in Radio Mogadishu and at the same time unkindly beat a young technical journalist named Aweys Bakari.

"As I the man who was keeping the storage of Radio Mogadishu for about 20 years and did not yet hand over the post as director of Radio Mogadishu am appealing for the information minister Abdirahman Yarisow to get Hussien Qoryoley back to his position and also resume all the fired reports to work and stop the clan interest." Alasow said.

As all the journalists working in Radio Mogadishu became target of killing by the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab militants, they must not be harassed by the information minister and the other government ministers.
