President Sharif and the UN dignitaries discussed the current situation in Somali

Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed yesterday received UN dignitaries led by the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political Affairs, Lynn Pascoe.

Lynn Pascoe was accompanied by UN Secretary General’s envoy for Somalia and the head of the UN Political Office for Somalia, Agustin Mahiga, and representatives from UNSOA, amongst other dignitaries.

President Sharif and the UN dignitaries discussed the current situation in Somali. The leaders also discussed efforts made by the international community in the Somali peace process.

Lynn Pascoe said that the UN was making all possible efforts to support the Transitional Federal Government.

President Sheriff briefed his visitors about security, and political and social conditions in the country.
