A Somalia military officer, Farah Abdi told Shabelle Media based in Mogadishu that Al Shabab senior financier, identified as Ise Abdi Hersi had given into government officials in Bardhere.

Bardheere, a newly captured town from Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab insurgents by Somalia army, along with AMISOM forces last month, sources said.

The radical group of Al Shabab was unavailable to reach on the phone for comments on the surrender of commander Hersi who capitulated to Somalia officials in Bardheere town.
