Mogadishu (Sunatimes) The ministry of Higher Education and Heritage of the Somali Transitional Federal Government has announced that there are scholarship opportunities for the Somali students to study abroad.
Acting minister for Higher Education and Heritage Dr. Mohamud Abdirahman has said that the governments of Sudan and Yemen have offered Somali students opportunities to study in the institutions of higher education in their countries.
Dr. Mohamud said that all the Somali students who are willing to take up the opportunities will be interviewed and only those who pass the interview will fairly be awarded the scholarships.
The minister announced some of the requirements during the interview as; a high school certificate, birth certificates and a certificate of good conduct.
There are a number of Somali students who are studying in Sudan and Yemen’s universities. Most of those students are under scholarship opportunities offered by those governments.
