Galkayo (Sunatimes) Two people were last night killed in Galkayo. The crime occurred in divisions of the larger Galkayo which is jointly controlled by the Galmudug and Puntland autonomous authorities.

The two who were killed were identified as youths who were among the small time businessmen in Galkayo’s main market.

A gang of four armed with pistols are reported to have shot the two people after the last night’s evening prayers.

It is not yet known why the two young businessmen were killed and the perpetuators are yet to be identified. The authorities of Galmudug and Puntland have promised to investigate the matter.
