Ogadenia (Sunatimes) At least six people have been killed and twenty others wounded in clashes between Somali villagers and Ethiopian forces in the Ethiopian-controlled Somali region of Ogadeni.

The clashes broke out after Ethiopia’s new police forces attacked the Jeed village in the Shillaabo region in Ethiopia. The residents took up arms and responded to Ethiopian troops.

Among the dead are some of the Ethiopian forces who attacked the village. The residents have already fled.

Clashes between local villagers and the Ethiopian forces often occur in the Ogadeni region of Ethiopia.

Last month, 20 civilians were reportedly killed in clashes between villagers and Ethiopian forces in the border village of El-Dibir.
