Buroa (Sunatimes) The needy people in some of the districts in the Togdher region received relief food from the World Food Program. The food was distributed on behalf of the World Food Program by the GAAFO organization, a local NGO.

The beneficiaries were some of the residents of the Burao, Shekh and Owd Weyn districts in the Togder region. Close to one thousand families have benefited from the food distribution exercise.

Ahmed Omar Hirsi, who is one the officers in charge of the food distribution, said that the exercise will continue for a period of three days.

Ahmed said that the GAAFO will take the food to over forty two divisions in the Togder region. The distribution of the food is a sigh of relief to some of the beneficiaries as it came during the fasting month.

Some of the beneficiaries who talked to Bar-kulan’s reporter said that they have received the food at a time when they needed it most.
