The statuesque is ominous and dangerous if nothing is done about. The people other than Isak are overlooking Hargeysa from its surroundings

The heading above is not new to us but a rehash of the political statuesque in Somaliland. It is not creation of hate and propaganda but it answers the call of the majority of Somalilanders. It answers the political landscape of Somaliland. It reveals the conditions in the ground. The world celebrates the Somaliland democracy but what the world does not know is that it the same African politics and much worse. The fact that we have peace and peaceful elections does not mean that everyone is satisfied with the statuesque in the Somaliland.

The people other than Isak have chosen peace from war and also thought Isak politicians might realize the seriousness of the political situation in Somaliland and might change the power sharing and close the large gap in the balance of power in the three levels of government.

The world does not know that almost 95% of Government, senate, and parliament go to Isak under a false power sharing agreements reached under the threat of war. The other people in the region have realized that Isak’s domination has reached its peak. Under this statuesque Isak politicians are aware that other people cannot continue to be suppressed, killed, and jailed randomly. There is no independence or election to celebrate while the statuesque remains the same.

The statuesque is ominous and dangerous if nothing is done about. The people other than Isak are overlooking Hargeysa from its surroundings. Those people are angry and forecasting an unprecedented scenario while the Isak people are enjoying and rejoicing the majority in everything. The other clans: ESSA, GADABUURSI, DHULBAHANATE, WARSANGALI, etc., are wondering the next steps they would take to make their presence in Somaliland be known by Isak and the world. Are all those worth nothing in Somaliland?

They themselves have to answer and do self search and come up with a strategy inclusively or separately. Those clans need a quick action or they will perish under the Isak rule. Democracy works when there is a political balance in the power sharing. Otherwise, it comes one clan rule as it is today in Somaliland. The previous governments in Somaliland were the same but the people were under healing process and many of them did not bother about balance.

However, those clans felt the pressure and now asking themselves if they can continue working with the Isak governments. Every idiot can understand that the present situation in Somaliland politics is unbalanced and can lead us to an unknown territory and an uncertain future. In order for us to survive we have to revisit previous negotiations and come up with a workable solution for all.
