I had only finished intermediate school and I have no high level education

MOGADISHU (Sunatimes)-Somalia’s current parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden says he had never experienced neither educational level of university nor of high school and just was a businessman before coming to the politics. Watch the Interview

“It is not something wise to be self boasting, I had only finished intermediate school and I have no high level education. Since long time as a young man I was businessman and then I joined the country’s politics and became speaker of parliament for the government formed in Kenya.” said Hassan

In a short interview with Keydmedia project during the era of the political division among the Alliance of Re-liberation Somalia (ARS) in 2008, Sharif Hassan known as ‘Sharif razor’ denied the responsibility by the parliament members of allowing the Ethiopian troops into Somalia.

“Ethiopian first convinced its military plan and then forcefully rolled into Somalia. I did not sign the admission of entering our country but the parliament agreed that troops from the United Nations should be deployed in Somalia and the frontline states should lay the strategic map to protect the government.” Hassan said.

Sharif Hassan who is now a close friend to the president Sharif Sheik Ahmed served as minister of finance as rumours say he exploits the national responsibility by laundering money into his personal account.
