Mogadishu: Sunatimes- A number off people have been arrested by government police officers today. Police made the arrests after carrying out an operation in Mogadishu.

Most of the people who are suspected of being a threat to security were arrested from Banadir district which is under the control of the TFG forces.

Police spokesman Col. Barise said that those arrested are suspected to be involved in various criminal activities that have been carried out in the areas controlled by the TFG forces.

However, he assured the arrestees that only those who will be suspected to have taken part in the criminal activities will be taken to court and the rest will be freed.

Banadir’s district commissioner and some of the senior police officers previously announced that they will carry out security operations in the areas under their control.
