Nairobi,Sunatimes.com Former Kenyan envoy to Somalia Mohamed Abdi Affey says the world especaily the western has neglacted Somalia.
 
In an interview with the Somalia's Keydmedia Television, Mr. Affey for the first time admitted that the international community did a great mistake to Somalia by turning blind eye to their problems.

"the government formed in Djibouti in the year 2000 and its legacy was to ending, the IGAD member states met over Somalia issues to find a better approach to replace that government. president Abdi Qasim was at the meeting as the conclusion was to negotiate with any warlord seen as stakeholder, because the IGAD members convinced themselves that warlords are the people who can make peace and that was a big mistake done to Somalia." said Affey.

 
Mr. Abdi Affey, who was among the organizers of the Somalia peace conference in Kenya that formed the government led by Abdulahi Yusuf, said the problem was that warlords seen as peace makers.
 
"In my point of view, the international community brush aside about Somalia issues and the situation in Somalia should have been given urgent help by the United Nations as it assisted Kosovo." Ambassador Affey said.
 
He added that no rescue mission was made to Somalia and that was blocked by its spearheaded states like United States, because of its failure over the restore hope operation in Somalia in 1993.
 
the Affey's remarks were a clear picture on the hiding tackles by the international community to Somalia.
