    Hundreds of Somali refugees in Kenya are everyday returning home after the Nairobi authority ordered them to leave the cities.

Hundreds of Somali refugees in Kenya are everyday returning home after the Nairobi authority ordered them to leave the cities.

Somalia’s ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Ali Nur Amerikio tod Sunatimes that at least 400 Somalis leave Nairobi airports daily, heading to Mogadishu.

Mohamed Bare Mahamud of Africa Crown World Travel also told Sunatimes that an estimated 9,000 people departed for Somalia in the past two weeks.

He said that the ticket prices remained constant and thousands of people went to Somalia before the order by the Kenyan government.

On December 18th, the Kenyan government ordered all Somali refugees to relocate to the Dadaab camps in North Eastern Province.

Some of the people returning home went using road transportations. Their exact number is unknown.

There are also Somalis who crossed over to Uganda and Tanzania, while some holders of foreign passports went to their second countries.

Several business operators in Eastleigh estate of Nairobi confirmed to Bar-kulan that there is a decline in customers since the Somalis were ordered to leave the city.

Kenya blamed the refugees in contributing to her insecurity.
