The tragic accident was confirmed by Somalia ambassador to Libya, Abdiqani Mohamed Wa’ays.

The ill-fated truck left Sudan for Libya to illegally transport immigrants to the North African country.

It is reported that the truck was also transporting cement which caused the suffocation.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to Tripoli.

The accident is termed as the worst tragedy that happened to Somalis in Libya.
