Somalia federal parliament on their Wednesday session rejected the draft 2013 government budget.

The session was attended by 154 members who discussed the expenditure part of the draft budget and then put a vote on it.

According to parliament speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari, 54 MPs voted for the draft, 70 rejected it and 30 lawmakers abstained from voting.

The lawmakers said the draft, prepared by the ministry of finance and national planning, lacked proportionate distribution of expenditure.
