The Monday session of the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon was mainly discussed about the Al-shabaab threat. The minister told reporters.
The cabinet decided to thwart the militant by sending troops there and beefing up security of Mogadishu.
Lower Shabelle region borders Mogadishu.
The cabinet also discussed about the Tropical Cyclone reported to have hit parts of coastal Somalia, urging the residents there to be cautious.

Al-shabaab regrouping in Lower Shabelle: Minister
Somalia’s internal security minister, Abdikarin Hussein Guled said Monday that Al-shabaab fighters are regrouping in parts of Lower Shabelle region.
