    Somali refugees in Ugandan camp complain of poor health

    Somali refugees living in Nakivale camp, 310 km west of Kampala, are complaining of an outbreak of diseases in the camp including malaria, hepatitis and typhoid.

Somali refugees living in Nakivale camp, 310 km west of Kampala, are complaining of an outbreak of diseases in the camp including malaria, hepatitis and typhoid.

Leyla Ali Hussein, one of the refugees in Nakivale, told Sunatimes that other mysterious diseases affecting foot have also been reported in their camp.

She said most Somali refugees have been affected by these diseases, adding that the only available health facility in the camp cannot meet their growing demands.

Nakivale camp which was established in 1994 houses thousands of African refugees including Somali refugees.
