Kismayo: Sunatimes: The administration of the Al Shabab militia group in Kismayo has warned citizens to not construct buildings on what they are calling illegal lands.

Al Shabab’s highest in command in Kismayo, Sheikh Hassan Yakub, gave the warning today at a press conference held in Kismayo town. Mr. Yakub claimed that there were local people building on land that has not legally acquired.

Mr. Yakub further threatened that his militia group would take stern action against any individual unwilling to take the warning seriously. He also ordered work on buildings currently under construction to be stopped.

Mr. Yakub said that Al Shabab will seek a land commission which will look into the acquisition of some land on which new structures have been built. The commission will further be responsible for issuing land ownership documents.
