Speaking to journalists in Mogadishu shortly after the meeting, the PM said the meeting was aimed at discussing strengthening of security and cooperation between the national army and AMISOM.
Shirdon expressed satisfaction with the ongoing joint security operations in the country, adding that they acknowledge efforts by other African countries who contributed troops to stabilise Somalia.
AMISOM force commander Lt-Gen. Andrew Gutti said they will continue supporting Somalia forces in safeguarding the security of the country.

Government, AMISOM discuss security in Mogadishu
