Area security boss Farhan Moalim Ali told Sunatimes that four major roads leading outside the town will remain closed for the next two days as part of the restrictions.

He said they will conduct an operation aimed at strengthening security in the district.

The affected roads include those leading towards the area airfield, Bar Abdifatah, Gadon and Hananbur areas where Al-Shabaab militants used to plan attacks on the town.

Ali however urged the locals to cancel and reschedule their intended trips for the next two days.
