The prime minister was also one of the dignitaries who today over saw the swearing

Mogadishu: Sunatimes- Some of the newly appointed cabinet were today sworn in at the compound of the president offices better known as Villa Somalia in Mogadishu.

The ministers who were appointed by Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke early this month took their oath of office under the watch of President Sheriff Sheikh Ahmed of the Transitional Federal Government.

The prime minister was also one of the dignitaries who today over saw the swearing in of some members of the Somali cabinet.

The president congratulated the new ministers and asked them to tackle their new tasks with full force that will help the Transitional Government operate smoothly in order to change the situation of the Somali republic. The president described the country as one whose condition is devastating hence the need for reform and high performance in terms of service delivery.

On his part Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid asked the new ministers to undertake their roles with great determination to bring change and improvement.

The new Somali cabinet has got many tasks to undertake as the TFG continues to battle with insurgents who control most parts of the country and want to oust it in some of the areas under its control in the capital Mogadishu.
