Burao: Sunatimes-The houses of hundreds of internally displaced people from Southern Somalia were destroyed this morning by fire that made the situation more difficult for IDPs.

However, the fire did not cause any death or injuries to the occupants of the houses mainly made of makeshifts despite destroying personal belongings and other properties.

Local elders and leaders have appealed to the authorities and the Non-Governmental organizations in the area to assist the IDPs whose make shift houses were burnt today with humanitarian aid.

This is the second time fire has destroyed make shifts used as shelter by the IDPs from Southern Somalia in Burao town which is part of the Togder region.
